The AVI FES 2020 is a rugged, managed, 2x 10/100/1000 Combo Port and 8x 10.10 Port, Ethernet switch enclosed in the rugged AVI Field Ethernet System Chassis.
The AVI FES 2020 Field Ethernet System Embedded Services Switch (ESS) delivers reduced Size Weight and Power (SWaP) requirements, with maximum technology capability.
The high performance Cisco 2020 ESS provides the power of the Cisco Switching IOS. The Cisco ESS 2020 natively provides 2x Gigabit switched interfaces supporting copper and fiber; as well as 8x Fast Ethernet interfaces supporting copper only.
Standard model provides 2x Gigabit Ethernet or Fiber ports, and 8x Fast Ethernet Copper ports. The Gigabit ports enable coupling to other gigabit networks and compatibility with multiple fiber/Ethernet connections. Options are available for combinations of copper and fiber interfaces by selecting type of SFP media converters within the FES chassis.
Dual redundant power inputs enable connection to mains and battery power, providing uninterrupted power supply or extended operating time on dual batteries. Power output options may be used for providing power to other stacked modules.
With an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, The AVI FES 2020 is specifically designed for operation in harsh environments. The AVI FES 2020 Embedded Services Switch can be used stand alone, or as part of a wider tactical network.
