AVI 9520 Rugged Router

The AVI 9520 is a rugged router, providing up to sixteen Gigabit Ethernet ports. Two different configurations are available within the rugged AVI Chassis that is part of the globally deployed and highly successful AVI 9000 series.

The AVI 9520 is a small form factor, rugged network device providing secure, on-demand network connectivity in airborne, mobile or fixed deployments in hostile environments.

The AVI 9520 Rugged Router system delivers reduced Size Weight and Power (SWaP) requirements with maximum technology capability. The high performance Cisco IOS® Software with secure Layer 2/3+ switching and routing provides highly secure yet scalable data, voice and video communications capability to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links.

For mission-critical mobile communications in harsh environments, the AVI 9520 can be deployed to take advantage of the Cisco Mobile Ready Net®. The AVI 9520 serves as an aggregation point for multiple connections to the tactical network and ensures transparent connectivity roaming over multiple radio bearers.

The power system supports wide range power input enabling supply via aircraft, vehicle or battery power sources at 16-40VDC. EMI filtering on the power input provides multi-stage differential-mode and common-mode passive EMI filtering for the AVI 9520.

Using a milled aluminum conduction cooled enclosure and high grade components with extended operating temperature range, the AVI 9520 is optimized for operation in hostile environments that require reliable and secure routing and switching technology.
